In October 2017, TALE published the Texas Association for Literacy Education Yearbook, Volume 4: Literacy Summit Yearbook. This publication served as the conference proceedings from the 2017 TALE Conference, which was themed "Literacy Alive and Well! Supporting Effective Literacy Instruction for all Learners." The 2017 TALE Yearbook contained peer-reviewed articles submitted by conference presenters who promoted research-based practices for literacy. The TALE 2018 Conference brought together 530 literacy stakeholders from Texas and beyond. The primary purposes of the conference were to offer high-quality professional learning focused on research-based literacy practices and provide valuable networking opportunities for literacy professionals.
